1 Timothy 6:15-16

Which God will bring about in his own time--God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see.  To him be honor and might forever.  Amen.

NLT:  For at just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords.  He alone can never die, and he lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach him.  No human eye has ever seen him, nor ever will.  All honor and power to him forever!  Amen.

Isaiah 55:8-9

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

NLT:  “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.  “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.  For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

Revelation 2:4

“Yet I hold this against you:  You have forsaken your first love.”

NLT:  “But I have this complaint against you.  You don’t love me or each other as you did at first.”

Matthew 11:28

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

NLT:  Then Jesus said “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
