Philippians 4:4, 12

Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again:  Rejoice! ... I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

NLT:  Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!  I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything.  I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. 

Psalm 102:27

But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

NLT:  But you are always the same; you will live forever.

1 Peter 1:8

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.

NLT:  You love him even though you have never seen him.  Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious inexpressible joy.
