12:22-26
Then Jesus
said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell
you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what
you will wear. Life is more than food,
and the body more than clothes. Consider
the ravens: They do not sow or reap,
they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than
birds! Who of you by worrying can add a
single hour to his life? Since you
cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”
NLT: Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said,
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have
enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear.
For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in
barns, for God feeds them. And you are
far more valuable to him than any birds!
And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use
of worrying over bigger things?
Ephesians
3:20-21
Now to him
who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to
his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in
Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
NLT: Now all glory to God, who is able, through
his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might
ask or think. Glory to him in the church
and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
