Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.  He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

NLT:  The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.  He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.  He renews my strength.  He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

Genesis 2:2-3

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.  And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

NLT:  On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work.  And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.

Luke 1:79

To shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.

NLT:  “to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death and to guide us to the path of peace.”
