2 Thessalonians 3:16

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.  The Lord be with all of you.

NLT:  Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation.  The Lord be with you all.

John 1:4-5 (AMP)

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.  And the Light shines on in the darkness for the darkness has never over-powered it (put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it).

NLT:  The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

Hebrews 12:3

Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

NLT:  Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people, then you won’t become weary and give up.
