Psalm 48:14

For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.

NLT:  For that is what God is like.  He is our God forever and ever, and he will guide us until we die.

Hebrews 12:2

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

NLT:  We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.  Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame.  Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

Isaiah 41:13

“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

NLT:  For I hold you by your right hand--I, the Lord your God.  And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid.  I am here to help you.’
