Psalm 31:14 (NKJV)

But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.”

NLT:  But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!”

Colossians 2:6-7

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and over-flowing with thankfulness.

NLT:  And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.  Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him.  Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

Psalm 141:8

But my eyes are fixed on you, O Sovereign Lord; in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death.

NLT:  I look to you for help, O Sovereign Lord.  You are my refuge; don’t let them kill me.

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

NLT:  Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
