Romans 8:31
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us??
NLT: What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
NLT: So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
Genesis 16:13-14 (AMP)
So she called the name of the Lord Who spoke to her, You are a God of seeing, for she said, Have I (not) even here (in the wilderness) looked upon Him Who sees me (and lived)? Or have I here also seen (the future purposes or designs of) Him Who sees me? Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi (A well to the Living One Who sees me).
NLT: Therefore, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” So that well was named Beer-lahai-roi (which means “well of the Living One who sees me”). It can still be found between Kadesh and Bered.
