Job 13:15 (NKJV)
Though He slay me, yet will I trust
Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways
before Him.
NLT: God might kill me, but I have no other
hope. I am going to argue my case with
him.
Psalm 18:33
He makes my feet like the feet of a
deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.
NLT: He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling
me to stand on mountain heights.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 (AMP)
Though the fig tree does not
blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, (though) the product of the olive
fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there are no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will
exult in the (victorious) God of my salvation!
The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible
army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk (not to stand
still in terror, but to walk) and make (spiritual) progress upon my high places
(of trouble, suffering, or responsibility)!
NLT: Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the
fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the
cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my
salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my
strength! He makes me as surefooted as a
deer, able to tread upon the heights.
