Peter 5:6-7

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

NLT:   So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.  Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Proverbs 16:9

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.

NLT:  We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.

Psalm 37:5 (NKJV)

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

NLT:  Commit everything you do to the Lord.  Trust him, and he will help you.
