Psalm 32:7

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

NLT:  For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble.  You surround me with songs of victory.

Romans 1:6

And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.

NLT:  And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.

Genesis 3:8-9

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.  But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

NLT:  When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden.  So they hid from the Lord God among the trees.  Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” 

John 8:12

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

NLT:  Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world.  If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.
