Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of
them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake
you.
NLT:
“So be strong and courageous! Do
not be afraid and do not panic before them.
For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
1 Peter 3:4
Instead, it should be that of your inner
self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth
in God’s sight.
NLT:
You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from
within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious
to God.
2 Corinthians 4:6-7
For God, who said, “Let light shine out
of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the
knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to
show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
NLT:
For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this
light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the
face of Jesus Christ. We now have this
light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars
containing this great treasure. This
makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (AMP)
But He said to me …My strength and power
are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective
in (your) weakness.
NLT:
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my
weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
