Luke 12:25-26

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?  Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”

NLT:  “Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”  “And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?” 

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

NLT:  Always be joyful.  Never stop praying.  Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Psalm 36:9

For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.

NLT:  For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.
