Jeremiah 17:7

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

NLT:  “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

Romans 8:28 (AMP)

We are assured and know that (God being a partner in their labor) all things work together and are (fitting into a plan) for good to and for those who love God and are called according to (His) design and purpose.

NLT:  And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Psalm 40:2 (AMP)

He drew me up out of a horrible pit (a pit of tumult and destruction), out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings.

NLT:  He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire.  He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.

1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

NLT:  But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people.  You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession.  As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
