Corinthians 15:20-23
But Christ
has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen
asleep. For since death came through a
man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will
be made alive. But each in his own
turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then,
when he comes, those who belong to him.
NLT: But in fact, Christ has been raised from the
dead. He is the first of a great harvest
of all who have died. So you see, just
as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead
has begun through another man. Just as
everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ
will be given new life. But there is an
order to this resurrection: Christ was
raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be
raised when he comes back.
Hebrews
6:19
We have this
hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the
curtain.
NLT: This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor
for our souls. It leads us through the
curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
