Psalm 8:5 (NKJV)

For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.

NLT:  Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.

Genesis 1:26-27

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

NLT:  Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.  They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”  So God created human beings in his own image.  In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Romans 8:6

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.

NLT:  So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death.  But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
