1 Peter 5:5-6

Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older.  All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”  Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

NLT:  In the same way, you younger men must accept the authority of the elders.  And all of you, serve each other in humility, for “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”  So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”

NLT:  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one can come to the Father except through me.
