Psalm 27:8 (NKJV)

When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

NLT:  My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.”  And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”

Romans 13:14

Rather clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

NLT:  Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.  And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

1 Corinthians 2:16

“For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?”  But we have the mind of Christ.

NLT:  For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts?  Who knows enough to teach him?”  But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

Colossians 3:12

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

NLT:  Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
