Psalm 95:2

Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

NLT:  Let us come to him with thanksgiving.  Let us sing psalms of praise to him.

1 John 1:5

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you:  God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.

NLT:  This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you:  God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

Psalm 19:7

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.  The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

NLT:  The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul.  The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

Hebrews 4:16 (ESV)

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

NLT:  So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.  There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
