Psalm 8:1-4
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the
heavens. From the lips of children and
infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe
and the avenger. When I consider your
heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set
in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care
for him?.
NLT: O Lord, our Lord, your
majestic name fills the earth! Your
glory is higher than the heavens. You
have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your
enemies and all who oppose you. When I
look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars
you set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human
beings that you should care for them?
Psalm 19:1-2
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of
his hands. Day after day they pour forth
speech; night after night they display knowledge.
NLT: The heavens proclaim the
glory of God. The skies display his
craftsmanship. Day after day they
continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is
in you, whom you have received from God?
You are not your own.
NLT: Don’t you realize that
your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to
you by God? You do not belong to
yourself.
Jeremiah 29:13
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
NLT: “If you look for me
wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
