Mark 8:36
“What good
is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?”
NLT: “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole
world but lose your own soul?”
Psalm
139:13-16
For you
created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was
made in the secret place. When I was
woven together in the depts. Of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in
your book before one of them came to be.
NLT: You made all the delicate, inner parts of my
body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know
it. You watched me as I was being formed
in utter seclusion as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your
book.

Corinthians 3:17-18
Now the Lord
is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect
the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing
glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
NLT: For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the
Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the
glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is
the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious
image.
