Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

NLT:  For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.  The government will rest on his shoulders.  And he will be called:  Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Zechariah 9:9 (NKJV)
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!  O daughter of Jerusalem!  Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

NLT:  “Rejoice, O people of Zion!  Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!  Look, your king is coming to you.  He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—riding on a donkey’s colt.”

Romans 8:15-16
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.  And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

NJT:  So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves.  Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.  Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”  For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

Exodus 3:5
“Do not come any closer,” God said.  “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

NLT:  “Do not come any closer,” the Lord warned, “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground.”
