Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.

NLT:  For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 8:6-7

For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man’s misery weighs heavily upon him.  Since no man knows the future, who can tell him what is to come?

NLT:  For there is a time and a way for everything, even when a person is in trouble.  Indeed, how can people avoid what they don’t know is going to happen?

John 16:33

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.”

NLT:  I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me.  Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.  But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
