Psalm
46:10
“Be still,
and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted
in the earth.”
NLT: “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
Luke
10:39-42
She had a
sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the
preparations that had to be made. She
came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do
the work by myself? Tell her to help
me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord
answered, “You are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is
needed. Mary has chosen what is better,
and it will not be taken away from her.”
NLT: Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet,
listening to what he taught. But Martha
was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it
seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha,
you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned
about. Mary has discovered it, and it will
not be taken away from her.”

Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV)
For God is
not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
NLT: For God is not a God of disorder but of
peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.
